Sorry I have been gone so long but your favorite Styler has been working hard and playing harder. As you all know I'm all about style! So it would make sense that my blog would be about style, not just graffiti style but life style in general. So today I want to blog about sneakers, customized sneakers that is. I think all style masters flavor should manifest in their regular lives. Since style is born in the subconscious it should inspire and be the basis for our conscious lifestyle. Here are a few pics of some of my favorite kicks!

I created these funky gazelles using my favorite color, orange. They are made from Nu-buck leather, they have the same feel as a Timberland work boot or felt. It has a metal Lace Saver inscribed with my crew and a funky New York graffiti tag. They also stitched my name and crew on the outer stripe.

These custom joggers have that funky Spiderman feel. My tag is stitched on the top of the heel. The Lace Saver is crazy! They used charm bracelet style letters.

For those who know, New Balance 574 is the most comfortable sneaker on earth! I was so glad to learn New Balance started customizing sneakers. The color way is similar to the sneakers above but have a different feel due to the material. They don't allow you to do as much as the Adidas site but I was able to get my crew on the heel.

These Adidas high tops are so insane! The color way is deep chocolate and cream. Adidas gives you so many options which makes the price point worth the money.
For all you style kids that customize your gear, show me what you workin' with! Don't be stingy show the world your flavor!......... and by the way DON'T BITE! CREATE YOUR OWN!...PEACE.

This was a small quiet installation produced by the Dondi White foundation for the Ace hotel N.Y. The job  was to recreate and combine two of Dondi's paintings in one room. In the second room I was to enlarge the artwork for a business card that Dondi designed.

These are the two paintings up above i had to combine.

This is the complete time lapse of room number one.

Above is a design for one of Dondi's old business cards, this wound up on the wall in room two.

The Ace Hotel has many themed rooms by many famous artist. The dream for the management team was to have a Dondi White installation and you can't blame them. If any Graffiti artist with medium to long paper want to stay in the Dondi room, just check into the Ace Hotel! It'll make a great Anniversary present... even the room number is functional.

Rare Artifacts For The Chosen Few

A rare limited promo item I created to travel with. A teaser to generate interest in doing a TC5 book.

This book is another rarity. It was created by German Montana for their catalog. It was an artist profile to promote the paint line... and of course I was number 1!

This is a page from the book, the photo is from the Kosmopolite in Paris. Book design by Virus.

This photo shows images from both books, the Doc book on the top and the Montana catalog on the bottom. For those who are interested you might be able to cop the Montana book by reaching out to Montana Paints.

Welcome all to my first foray to the blogosphere! The Style Scientist Chemist got a blog and boy do I have ish to say. But before I go off on one of my usual rants I think I will plug you in to my trip to this years Art Basel. TC5 was in force and the vibe was crazy! Web, Yz, Sye, Wane, Dash, Zame, Tack, Spade, Chill-Ski, and lil-ol' me. The first couple of days were wasted trying to figure out where to paint but once the locations were nailed down we got it in! as you can see above!

One of my personal highlights on this trip was Kool Herc doing his thing with my paint! Herc walked into the venue and started kicking it with the 5, In mid conversation he asked for my can and I told him, "Don't worry I'll put you up"! and he was like, " No need I'll put myself up". Silly me, the historian forgot that the Herculoids also used to write!

This was our first production on this trip and it turned out to be the wall from hell! The owners of the building and the gallery were (ABS) Art Basel Snobs!... See this event originated as one great big Anglo yard sale, For Miami's so called ELITE! But as usual the hood always crashes. Three years ago when i first came to this event graffiti was an oddity... now it's the main event.

At the last minute Cope2 invited us to paint at the Scion event. We couldn't pass up a chance to blaze on the big stage!

Just to show you how freaky this event gets. You can find art on all levels! It's not confined to the walls.
